The Kannada film Ghost was released on October 19. Actor Abhijith’s cameo in the film was loved by the audience. In an exclusive interview with News18 Kannada, he talked about his experience of working in the film, his role and more.
Abhijit said that for a character to capture the audience’s heart, they do not need to be present in the entire film. He added, “If it’s good, it will take you somewhere.” Just like Shiva Rajkumar’s role as Narasimha became iconic in the recent Rajinikanth-starrer blockbuster hit Jailer, the same way Abhijith’s role was loved in Ghost. The audience loved his villainous role as a Chief Minister.
Abhijith added that he is ecstatic that he is receiving praise for his work. He further said that his family loved the film. It also received appreciation from his son and daughter, as they praised their dad after watching Ghost.
Abhijith shared how his children and close friends are expressing their opinions and showering praises on Ghost. He said, “I have not seen Ghost yet.” He added that he plans to watch the film with his wife in the coming week.
The actor also mentioned his experience of working with Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar. He said, “It was a pleasure to work with Shivanna, who plays the role of Dalavayi. It’s a pleasure to act with that one character.” He revealed that he had worked with the veteran actor 28 years ago, in a film titled Raja. He added that he was happy working with Shivanna again.
Ghost is directed by MG Srinivas. The cast of the film includes Shiva Rajkumar, Jayaram, Anupam Kher, Prashant Narayanan, Archana Jois and Satya Prakash.
