Mahindra unveiled prices for the Thar Roxx SUV on Independence Day, and now, starting October 3, 2024, at 11 am, customers can officially book this rugged SUV online.
The booking amount is set at Rs 21,000, confirmed by Autocar India.
While dealers have already started taking unofficial bookings for all versions and engine options, the Thar Roxx will be available in six variants – MX1, MX3, MX5, AX3L, AX5L, and AX7L. Prices start at Rs 12.99 lakh and go up to Rs 22.49 lakh. For those interested in the 4×4 models (Rs 18.79 lakh to Rs 22.49 lakh), you can pick between the MX5 (manual), AX5L (automatic), and AX7L (manual and automatic). (all prices, ex-showroom).
Under the hood, the Thar Roxx comes with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol or a 2.2-litre diesel engine, similar to the Scorpio-N and the 3-door Thar but with slight tweaks. Both engines come with manual and automatic options, but the 4×4 feature is only available with the diesel engine.
Test drives for the Thar Roxx kicked off on September 14, and dealers say deliveries are expected around Dussehra, either by October 12 or later in the month.
