Ever since Kia entered the compact SUV segment with the launch of its hot-selling model Sonet, it has received an overwhelming response from customers. Now, the company has revealed its overall sales figures, where the model reported an impressive 4,49,812 unit sales in domestic and export markets till August-end of this year.
It has been reported by the company that the above-mentioned sales figures have been achieved in just four years. It also has been informed that over 3,57,743 Sonnets were retailed in the Indian market, while 92,069 units were exported.
Top Performers in Fleet
These numbers have somehow lifted the company’s overall sales figures, making it the top-performing vehicle in the entire range, leaving behind the Seltos in terms of sales.
Despite being launched during the COVID-19 pandemic period, the vehicle somehow crossed the 1,00,000 units sales mark on September 14, 2021. It is when the top manufacturers were struggling to achieve good sales numbers.
Sales Figures
Later, Sonet unlocked another milestone of 1,50,000 unit sales in June of next year, followed by 2,50,000 unit sales in May 2023. The tech-loaded compact SUV also has been ranked 10th among the Top 20 utility vehicles at the end of the first five months of the ongoing financial year.
Export Business
Currently, Kia India has has shipped over 92,069 units in the international market, making it available in other parts of the world such Africa, Middle East, Central, Mexico, South America, and the Asia Pacific regions
