Washington: Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on Wednesday questioned President Barack Obama's move to hold election rallies in support of Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton instead of focusing on resolving pressing issues facing the nation.

"Why isn't President Obama working instead of campaigning for Hillary Clinton?" Trump asked in a tweet, a day after the US President went on a campaign trail in the key battelground state of Pennsylvania in support of his former secretary of state.

"Russia took Crimea during the so-called Obama years. Who wouldn't know this and why does Obama get a free pass?" Trump asked in a second tweet. In his election rally, Obama slammed Trump for his rhetoric and praising Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In a fiery speech, Obama said Trump is not fit to be the president of the United States. Clinton did not attend the rally.

She has been diagnosed of pneumonia and taking rest as advised by her physician. She would resume her election campaigning tomorrow from North Carolina.
