Sarah Rose Hanbury, who was rumoured to have had an affair with Prince William, has sent a legal notice to the host of the ‘Late Show’ Stephen Colbert for joking about it, reported Fox News.
Host of the ‘Late Show’ Stephen Colbert had recently joked about Lady Sarah Rose Hanbury, the Marchioness of Cholmondeley, having an affair with Prince William while the theories of Kate Middleton’s alleged ‘disappearance’ were taking the internet by storm.
The legal development comes at the same time, as the chatter over Prince William’s wife, Kate Middleton’s apparent disappearance stopped abruptly after the Princess of Wales announced her cancer diagnosis.
Who is Lady Sarah Rose Hanbury and Why is She Suing Stephen Colbert?
Born into a family with deep ties to the British royal family, Lady Sarah Rose Hanbury had been in the headlines over rumours of her affair with Kate’s husband, Prince Williams, whilst the internet was speculating a barrage of conspiracy theories over Kate Middleton’s apparent disappearance, some time ago.
Rumours of an affair between Prince William and Lady Sarah Rose Hanbury had caught wind after comedian Stephen Colbert joked about it on his late-night show on March 12.
Colbert had addressed the ‘cheating’ theories concerning Prince William and Kate Middleton during his show and said, “As we were talking about this show yesterday, the kingdom has been all fluttered by the seeming disappearance of Kate Middleton. Well now, internet sleuths are guessing that Kate’s absence may be related to her husband’s and the future king of England, William, having an affair,” as quoted by digital news portal CBS8.
