Everyone needs a break or a vacation with their close ones, once in a while. This is the time one can just relax without worrying about anything. One must never compromise with their safety while vacationing. It is important to take all the required measures to ensure it. A man – who is a bodyguard by profession – has given some safety tips while on vacation, something many might not be aware of. Let us see what he had to share regarding one’s stay at a hotel. While vacationing, people have only one thing in their minds, which is having loads of fun. Even on our off time, we must never lower your guard; it’s crucial to be vigilant.
Aaron Bond, an investigator and a bodyguard at Bond Reese, reveals why one should always keep your hotel room curtains closed. Aaron explains that tourists could be at a risk of being robbed at their hotel room, if the security is bad. According to him, safety should be prioritised as one looks for a hotel to stay. Upon arriving at the place, the first thing one should do is close the curtains. Especially if the room is ‘overlooked’ because of other rooms. Explaining further, he stated that people could be aware of your movements, which increases the risk of a robbery. He added that one should avoid speaking loudly in public about their plans, because robbers may discover the times one won’t be in their rooms.
Aaron advised that whenever one books a room, they should always choose rooms on the third to fifth floors, instead of the lower floors. As these are open to higher risks of a crime. It gives an added bonus, according to which, one can quickly leave your room in case of an emergency.
He revealed that some hotel rooms may carry hidden cameras, so as soon as one arrives in the room, it should be thoroughly checked. Aaron warned, “Hidden cameras can be as small as a pin head and can be installed anywhere in your room.”
