Many wish to get married to a loving and understanding partner. But the first step to that is to find such a partner. Similarly, a man in China was looking for a suitable partner for himself and came across a great match for himself. Right at the first meeting, he was impressed that he made up his mind that he would marry her only. However, his hopes quickly crashed after the woman sent him a list.
As per the reports in the South China Morning Post, a 35-year-old man, a resident of Hangzhou of Zhejiang province in eastern China was looking for a partner to get married to. The man is the owner of two apartments and earns 100,000 yuan (approx Rs 11.62 lakh). Reportedly, his profile checks all the boxes for what is considered to be an eligible husband on the mainland.
He chose a partner for himself through a matchmaking agency and after meeting her, he was quite happy. They chatted happily and he had even made up his mind to marry her. The woman sent him a document and after opening it, he was shocked. But what was in the document?
That particular evening, the woman sent him a detailed Word Document with the title ‘Family’s Normal Daily Expenditure” to inform him of the fixed monthly expenses which were 9,900 yuan (Rs 1.16 lakh). She also included a list of expenses for the treatment of her parents, raising children in the future, utility bills, groceries, transport, socialising, clothes, gadgets and much more. Reportedly, she believed the man needed to have a clear statement of potential outgoings because he lived with his parents and did not know about his daily expenses.
As per the man, the woman said that they would face plenty of challenges that would be solved with money, hence she pushed him to double his salary to 200,000 yuan (Rs 23 lakh approx). He claimed, “I am yearning for a simple and pure love, instead of a life full of calculation and comparison,” and hence rejected her.
