“After examination by a local veterinarian, the snake was released into its natural habitat. It had entered the house while chasing a monitor lizard as per the man whose house the snake had entered,” he added.
Earlier in Karnataka, a family was stunned to see a 9-foot king cobra in a wooden bed box. Alarmed by the snake, the family contacted the forest department for help. The Agumbe Rainforest Research Station (ARRS) dispatched a team of experts who then rescued the serpent.
A video of the operation showed a team entering the house, where one member carefully retrieved the snake from the box and placed it into a black bag. The team transported the snake to a forested area. There, the cobra was released into the wild, disappearing swiftly into the bushes. An onsite awareness session was held to educate the local community about snake safety.
