Sidharth Shukla became a household name with his memorable roles, but it was his win on Bigg Boss 13 that made him a fan favourite. Months after winning the reality show, Shukla passed away suddenly on September 2, leaving fans and friends in shock. Among those deeply affected was Mahhi Vij, who recently revealed that she met Shukla by chance just a day before his untimely death. In a conversation with Filmygyan, Vij shared that she bumped into the Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania star while out for a walk. During their meeting, he teased her in a friendly manner and the actress even shared that Shukla was the only friend Vij made from Khatron Ke Khiladi.
Speaking about their bond, the Shubh Kadam actress said, “At the time of Khatron Ke Khiladi, my bonding was only with him and not with anyone else. I think after Khatron got over we went for dinners and drinks and chill. It was only with him.”
Talking about her reaction after she came to know about Sidharth Shukla’s demise, Mahhi Vij explained, “I was in shock because I came from the gym and I got the news. I was like it’s unbelievable. Like a day before I had met him while I was taking a walk in the back road and he was buying something. He was then teasing me, saying, ‘No matter how much you walk, nothing’s going to happen.’ Then the next day I got to know that this happened. He loved his family, he loved his mom, he loved his sisters.”
Sidharth Shukla, Mahhi Vij and her husband Jay Bhanushali participated in Khatron Ke Khiladi 7. While the actress was eliminated early and Jay decided to quit the show later, Sidharth made it to the final and won the season, which was hosted by Arjun Kapoor. After the show ended, Vij posted a sweet picture with Shukla on X, revealing that he was the only person from the show she stayed in touch with. Sharing the picture, Vij wrote, “Throwback, the only person I met after fear factor. My most generous one.”
