Bigg Boss 13’s Rashami Desai On Facing Financial Difficulties: 'Meri Life Mein Bohot Ups And Downs Rahe'
The actress opened up about her financial difficulties and the challenging situations she has faced.

Rashami Desai gained fame for her role in the television series Uttaran and has achieved significant success in the entertainment industry. However, her journey hasn’t been easy. The actress has bravely faced numerous challenges, both personally and professionally. In a recent conversation on Paras Chhabra’s podcast, Rashami opened up about her financial struggles and the difficult moments she had to face.

During the podcast, Rashami Desai mentioned that her life has never been easy. She recalled that she did not belong to a very well-off family, and her mother struggled a lot to raise her and her brother. The actress stated, “Unfortunately, mere life mein bohot ups and downs rahe. But 2017, ek ayesa phase tha jaha pe mera family dispute chal rahe the and I was financially extremely weak. You can say zero pay and mere upar crores ke loan thi, plus debt the. (Unfortunately, my life has had many ups and downs. But 2017 was a phase where I was dealing with family disputes and was financially extremely weak. You could say I had zero income and loans amounting to crores, plus debts.)”

Rashami added that it was during this time that she got the show Dil Se Dil Tak. She mentioned that the journey on that show was very “interesting”, and whatever earnings she made from it helped in improving her financial crisis. However, Rashami said, “But future secure karna is not the only thing you could do. Mujhe un cheezon ko utilise karne nahi aaya ( But securing the future is not the only thing you can do. I didn’t know how to utilise those things).” Explaining further, she remarked that whatever money she earned went into paying loans, and she did not have much savings left. Rashmi decided to participate in Bigg Boss 13 as well to pay off her debts and was one of the highest-paid contestants.

Moreover, the actress had cut herself off from her family. Rashami added that the lowest point in her life was when her show stopped abruptly and she became homeless. The actress recalled, “4 din mein road pe thi, mere paas Audi A6 thi, jisme hum sote the. Mere manager ke paas mere ghar ke sara saman rakha huya tha. Mere parivaar se mein ekdam alag ho gayi thi. (In only four days, I was on the road. I had an Audi A6 that I used to sleep in. My manager had kept all of my possessions. I had utterly separated from my family).” This happened when Rashami Desai got divorced and her friends and family didn’t understand her or supported her decisions.

“I did shows, didn’t sleep, and showed nothing on the outside, but inside I was full of stress. I used to think, what kind of life is this? It would be better to die,” she said.

Rashmi survived on food that rickshaw pullers would buy for twenty rupees. However, throughout these four days, the actress realised that she had never prioritised herself in life.
