VSNL's Internet rate chart from 1995

Twenty long years ago when Videsh Sanchar Nigam Limited (VSNL) first let the Indian public connect to the Internet, it came in a variety of connectivity options. The promised speed ranged from a 9.6 kbps on dial-up to 128 kbps on the premium leased lines. While the base rates were relatively lower, it allowed only very basic shell access. This rate chart from August 1995 shows what the first Internet users in India had to shell out to connect to the World Wide Web.
