New Delhi: Pizza Hut Hong Kong is delivering more than just pizzas at the doorstep. The pizza chain is delivering the comfort food in specially designed boxes that can be turned into a cool movie projector.
The new box, rightly called ‘Blockbuster Box’, has been designed by Ogilvy Hong Kong and comes with a perforated, pop-out hole on its side. It comes with a unique pizza table (also called a pizza protector) that is essentially a projector’s lens.
All you got to do is flip out the hole and slip in the lens to have the projector ready. Next, you need to scan the QR code that comes printed on the box and get the movie downloaded right onto your smartphone. Once done, prop the pizza table’s legs to serve as your smartphone stand and you have the gear in place.
Now, sit back and watch the contraption project magic on any wall, all while you enjoy your favourite pizza. And that is not the end, the box comes in four varieties, each with a separate movie download code, which are called Slice Night (for horror fans), Anchovy Armageddon (for science-fiction), Hot & Ready (for romance), and Fully Loaded (for an action flick).
Although the quality of the pseudo projector can’t match up to that of a regular full-feature device, but a little extra seasoning is a good thing here.
