The dual screen has been incorporated in the LG V10 to help strengthen the battery life and also make the smartphone experience better.

South Korean electronics manufacturer LG has introduced the first of its V Series smartphones that comes with a distinctive dual screen, dual front cameras and, in a first, a manual mode to shoot videos.

The LG V10 has been designed in steel and silicone skin and features a 5.7-inch QHD IPS display while the second screen is a 2.1-inch IPS Quantum display that can be used to display weather, time, date, and battery when the main screen stays off.

The dual screen has been incorporated in the LG V10 to help strengthen the battery life and also make the smartphone experience better. If you are watching a movie on the main screen, the second screen will show you notifications when a call or text arrives, all without hindering your movie experience with constant, distracting pop-ups.

Another USP of the LG V10 is that it comes with 5 megapixel dual front cameras with two separate lenses to capture standard 80 degree selfies or wide angle selfies up to 120 degrees.

The V10, as claimed by LG, is also the first smartphone to offer manual mode for video shooting. Users have the option to tweak settings, from shutter speed, frame rate, to even pick from three resolutions- HD, FHD, UHD, and two aspect ratios. The phone comes with a 16 megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture.

The video app comes with additional features like Snap Video, 15 Second Auto Edit, Audio Monitor, Wind Noise Filter and more.

The phone runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset combined with 4GB LPDDR3 RAM and is packed with 64 GB of internal storage. The phone comes with microSD support for up to 2TB, thereby allowing users to shoot in 4K as much as they want.

It is powered by a robust 3,000mAh removable battery with quick charge technology. LG claims that the phone takes 40 minutes to get a 50 per cent charge.

It Android 5.1.1 Lollipop-based phone further comes with a fingerprint sensor that doubles up to turn on the display simultaneously. It has been designed to work with Android Pay. It is 4G LTE enables and offers connectivity options including WiFi, Bluetooth, and NFC.

The LG V10 will be available in Korea starting this month followed by markets such as the US, China and key countries in Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.

It is available in Space Black, Luxe White, Modern Beige, Ocean Blue, and Opal Blue colour choices.
