Facebook Stashes Soccer Game in Messenger

To tie in with the Euro 2016 tournament currently underway in France, Facebook developers have hidden a little football-themed treat in the latest edition of social network's standalone messaging app.

To unlock the game, which is designed to fill a few moments with a bit of fun, rather than go on to become an all-time classic, simply start a chat and, within the conversation, use a soccer ball emoji.

Once the message has been sent, tapping on the emoji again (as it appears in the sent message) will launch the game and you, and the person or persons being messaged can all start playing.
