YSR Congress urges Congress, TDP to sign united AP resolution
YSRCP deputy floor leader Sobha Nagi Reddy said the present crisis needs a solution and leaders signing a one-line resolution could help.

Hyderabad: Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSR Congress Sunday appealed to Congress and TDP to sign what it called a "one line resolution", seeking a "united" Andhra Pradesh, to clear uncertainty and pacify sentiments of people from the Seemandhra region.

"The present crisis needs a political solution and if leaders of all political parties sign a one-line resolution in favour of a united state, the process of bifurcation can be stopped," YSRCP deputy floor leader Sobha Nagi Reddy told reporters on Sunday.

"Pradesh Congress Committee President Botsa Satyanrayana, TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu and other political leaders should come forward with a resolution and our party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy will be the first one to sign such a proposal," she said.

"Employees supporting a "united" Andhra Pradesh have been on strike for the past 60 days and political parties refusing to react is a blot on democracy," she said, adding that YSRCP president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has been categorical that his party would sign the resolution.

Jagan and YSRCP leaders also plan to meet Governor E S L Narasimhan on Monday with a request to convene the assembly immediately, in order to pass a resolution in favour of a "united" Andhra Pradesh.
