Chennai: AIADMK chief and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa attacked the UPA government at the Centre on Tuesday. Addressing a public meeting at Pollachi, she said, "We haven't seen a government as corrupt as this, the 2G scam happened in this UPA government, it is a shame for Tamilians, the DMK was part of this government. The DMK is indulging in false propaganda by saying that Karnataka businessmen are wooing Tamil industrialists to shift to their state. Last year DMK withdrew from the UPA government citing the Sri Lankan Tamil issue. But the real reason was the 2G scam."
Attacking the DMK run TV channel she asked, "If Kalignar TV had really obtained huge loan why did they hurriedly repay?"
"Can Karunanidhi explain conversation recorded in Nira Radia tapes? Why didn't Karunanidhi file defamation suits after the recently leaked telephone conversations? If the Congress was not secular, Karunanidhi should explain his 9-year association with them," Jaya said.
