The Himalayan state of Sikkim with went on polls on polls on April 11, 2014. The fates of six candidates contesting the Lok Sabha polls are to be decided through the counting which is underway in Gangtok.
For the lone Lok Sabha seat, sitting MP Prem Das Rai of SDF is pitted against nominees from SKM, BJP, Congress, Trinamool and Aam Admi Party.
In assembly elections with support growing for the newly-formed Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM), the ruling party Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) would have a tough fight to stay in power after a 20-year uninterrupted rule.
At 10:30 pm: SDF wins assembly polls, bags 22 of 32 seats; leads lone LS seat
At 07:30 pm: SKM bags another seat. SDF still way ahead, all set to form government.
At 06:30 pm: SDF is still leading on lone LS seat; wins 20, leads one Sikkim assembly seats. SKM bags five of 32 assembly seat.
At 05:20 pm: SDF leading on lone LS seat; wins 18 Sikkim assembly seats. SKM bags three assembly seats.
At 04:15 pm: SDF still leading on lone LS seat; wins 14, leading on two Sikkim assembly seats. Sikkim Krantikari Morcha wins three out of 32 assembly seat.
At 02:45 pm, SDF leading on lone LS seat; wins eight, leading on three Sikkim assembly seats. Sikkim Krantikari Morcha wins three out of 32 assembly seat.
