New Delhi: With Bihar Assembly elections just months away, the social media has become now a new battleground with senior leaders indulging in a war of words, shooting letters at each other and much more.
In a fresh attack on the Narendra Modi government, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday called it "Union Twitter Government".
Nitish tweeted, "Modiji even though you didn't answer my questions was heartening to see you open your speech at Muzaffarpur taking cognizance of my tweets. Finally we have a government that could be truly called a "Union Twitter Government" that listens, acts, and responds only on Twitter."
Nitish again posted a list of six questions which he had tweeted on July 25 ahead of Modi's first visit to Bihar after becoming Prime Minister in May 2014.
The attack comes just hours before Narendra Modi along with Bharatiya Janata party president Amit Shah will address a rally in Gaya district.
The power of social media was witnessed in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections when Modi used the platform to his advantage by connecting with the people from different walks of life and age groups. Since then many leaders have followed his footsteps but it is to be seen whether this tool will work to their advantage in the upcoming polls.
