Srinagar: Hardline Hurriyat constituent Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League on Monday gave a call for boycott of Lok Sabha polls in the state.
The election drama is a "well-planned conspiracy" against our movement in Jammu and Kashmir and "everyone is duty bound to make the poll process ineffective. We deem it our duty to appeal to people to boycott Parliamentary polls", acting chairman of league Mohammad Yousuf Mir told reporters.
He alleged that the polls were being used by the Government to "hoodwink" the international community.
Elections to the six parliamentary seats in the state is slated for April 16 (Jammu-Poonch), April 23 (Udhampur-Doda), April 30 (Anantnag-Pulwama), May 7 (Srinagar-Budgam), May 13 (Baramulla-Kupwara) and Leh-Kargil.
