Maya wants to ‘capture’ power in New Delhi

New Delhi: The BSP founder Kashi Ram always said that for the party, the ultimate aim is to capture power in Delhi.

And Mayawati has never been secretive about her prime ministerial ambitions.

US magazine, Newsweek ranked her among the top eight women leaders last year.

And responding to that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said, “Our aim now is to replicate the winning formula in other states and prepare for the bigger struggle to capture power in New Delhi.”

And having the tag of one of the top women leaders, Maya said, “It is very rarely that people belonging to the lower strata of society have been eulogised.”
