New Delhi: Justice Shivraj V Patil will be the new Lokayukta of Karnataka. He will be replacing the outgoing Lokayukta Justice N Santosh Hegde.
Justcie Hegde will submit his report on illegal mining is retiring on August 2 after five years in office.
Both Justice Hegde and Justice Patil were judges in the Supreme Court. Justice Patil recently headed a probe into the 2G spectrum scam. It is a routine appointment and not linked to ongoing mining controversy.
