New Delhi: Former Indian Police Service (IPS) officer-turned-civil rights activist Kiran Bedi on Friday expressed hope that the Lokpal Bill gets passed by the Parliament before the Winter session ends. "Key areas have been addressed in this Lokpal Bill. We hope its passed in the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha," Bedi said.
Bedi also hit out at AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal saying that he was trying to mislead people and insisted it was a good Bill.
"It's not a jokepal (as said by Kejriwal). People who are saying its a joke pal are misleading people. They don't want the Bill to be passed, this is a good Bill," she said.
Earlier Kejriwal had raised concern over Anna's insistence of the Bill in its current form. "I am really surprised. How can Anna accept sarkari Lokpal Bill? Sarkari Lokpal is a "jokepal". Who is misguiding Anna? Whatever Anna may say, we will continue our fight for janlokpal bill till our last breath," Kejriwal tweeted.
