Parliament is in recess after a productive first half of the Budget Session which saw several important legislations being passed by both Houses. Some of the crucial bills passed in Parliament include the Real Estate Bill, Aadhaar Bill, Carriage by Air Bill.
The session which began on February 23 had a stormy start with an united opposition cornering the government over the Jawaharlal Nehru University row and Dalit PhD scholar Rohith Vemula's death in Hyderabad Central University.
The session witnessed a bitter war of words on a host of issues with both the sides not leaving any stone unturned to target the other but the treasury and opposition benches also came together to transact business.
