18. Bhitarwar is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Gwalior Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Bhitarwar falls in Gwalior district and Chambal region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,18,425 voters in the seat, which includes 1,18,802 male voters, and 99,616 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Bhitarwar recorded a voter turnout of 71.19%. In 2013 the turnout was 70.02%, and in 2008 it was 66.33%.
In 2013, Lakhan Singh Yadav of INC won the seat by a margin of 6,548 votes (4.66%). Lakhan Singh Yadav secured 28.89% of the total votes polled.
INC won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 10,488 votes (9.59%), registering 31.91% of the total votes polled.
