Taapsee Pannu has added a brand-new Mercedes-Maybach GLS600 luxury SUV to her car collections.
On Saturday, September 16, the Mercedes-Benz Landmark Cars, Mumbai dropped a picture on their official Instagram handle, featuring Taapsee. Beside her was the swanky new Mercedes-Maybach GLS600, wrapped in a red ribbon.
The car makers showered the Badla actress with congratulatory messages, for “embracing the epitome of luxury” from the Mercedes-Benz Family. According to HT Auto, the car was delivered to the Bollywood actress’ residence on September 17 ahead of the Ganesh Chaturthi celebration. The price of the Mercedes-Maybach GLS600 is nearly Rs 3 crore. The luxury car’s salient features are what makes it all the more special.
Taapsee Pannu purchased the expensive GLS600 in the Palladium Silver shade, priced at a whopping Rs 2.92 crore (ex-showroom). The Bollywood star seems to be fond of the Mercedes-Benz vehicles. She is already the owner of the Mercedes-Benz GLE. There is only one variant available for the Mercedes-Maybach GLS600. It has the classic Maybach styling, including a huge grille plated with chrome, chrome details on the B-Pillar, and the Maybach logo on the D-Pillar.
There are both four-seater and five-seater arrangements available that can be found in the GLS600. However, there is no report on the seating arrangement that Taapsee Pannu chose for her car. A permanent centre console with enough ample space for a refrigerator is included in the four-seater variant. Nappa leather interior, an electronic sliding sunroof, and ventilated massaging seats are some of the exclusive features of Taapsee’s latest Mercedez collection.
A 4.0-litre V8 engine with a 48V mild-hybrid system powers the Maybach GLS 600. The unit is timed to deliver 557 bhp of power and 730 Nm of maximum torque. The hybrid technology boosts power output by 22 bhp and torque by 250 Nm. A 9-speed automatic transmission distributes the power to all four wheels. Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, Active Blind Spot Assist, Active Steering Assist, and Active Lane Keeping Assist are some of the unique features that Taapsee Pannu’s Mercedez-Benz car is equipped with.
Aside from these features, the Maybach GLS also includes Adaptive LED tail lamps, Adaptive High Beam Assist, a Parking Package with a 360-degree camera, 8 airbags, an electronic traffic management system, an off-road driving mode, downhill speed regulation, and even safety vests for the driver and passengers.
In 2021, Mercedes-Maybach introduced its first SUV to the Indian market. At first, all 50 units in the country swiftly sold out. The vehicle’s base price is Rs 2.35 crore, ex-showroom, sans any customization.
