Video of Mumbai Women Entering a Moving Local Train Has People Saying City Deserves its 'Infrastructure Dues'

The Mumbai local train is in the news every now and then for many reasons. Sometimes, it is a heated brawl and then there are times when it is people performing dangerous stunts. Now, a video which has gone viral shows a regular scene at the local. However, it has managed to shock many people on social media platform ‘X’. The video shows a moving local train which is just about to stop at a station. However, before it could stop, women have started entering the train as they run to save themselves a seat.

The video does not only depict a very regular day for these women but also highlights the harmful stunt that all of them are pulling. The ‘X’ user who uploaded the video has pointed out how this has been glamorised by many people. “You’ll find this sad, scary, substandard living. But the affluent, wokes living comfortably in South Bombay glamorise this as the ‘spirit of Mumbai’, a ‘jhunjhuna’ given to the common Mumbaikars so that they feel better about their misery and don’t ask for better infrastructure,” he wrote.

Since being uploaded, the video has gathered over 745K views. “Bollywood glamorised the Bombay dream which led to massive migration after 70s and it has ended like this for millions,” commented an ‘X’ user. Another person wrote, “On top of all that it’s extremely dangerous. I never board a train like this at all.”

“And then these women with those huge backpacks stand in front of the door even if their station is 20 stations away and make it even more difficult for people to enter,” commented another person.
