Sayani Gupta Shares Her Bad Experience: 'Indian Men On Flights Are Worst'
The online outburst seemingly came after Sayani Gupta had an unpleasant flight experience.

Bollywood actress Sayani Gupta believes “Indian men on flights are worst.” On Sunday, the Four More Shots Please fame ranted about some of the behaviours of Indian men which she considers “uncouth.” It appears the online outburst came after an unpleasant flight experience. In a note, Sayani details getting her face smashed with a backpack while the man who did it didn’t even realise it and acted indifferent. Her public outburst has left Redditors completely divided. While some seem to agree with the actress, many didn’t appreciate her generalisation of Indian men.

On her Instagram stories, Sayani Gupta wrote, “Indian men on flights are just the f**** worst! Loud phones, cracks, coughing, sneezing without covers, no sense of space, uncouth! Oh, one guy almost smashed my face with his backpack and didn’t even realize it while everyone else gasped! Ya, many of you reading this are in the same breakfast. Thank you.” Take a look at the post here:

It didn’t take long for social media to offer their opinions on the matter. A section attested to her claim and even went on to recount some of their own unpleasant experiences. A Redditor wrote, “She forgot the disgusting stares, like what the F are you staring at, haven’t seen a woman before.” Another wrote, “Totally agree, these things must be called out.” One more agreed, “She’s right. Indian men have no sense of space in public.”

Meanwhile, another section highlighted how the lack of sense of space and courtesy is lacking in most Indians, not just men. “I agree there are plenty of rude people who don’t understand the concept of being in a public space or personal space in general, but why do you think it’s only men,” asked one.

Then there were those who fumed after reading the rant, completely disagreeing with Sayani. A user commented, “If we say ‘All girls are the same’ then she’ll feel bad.” Another opined women are no less when it comes to lack of courtesy. “I have had to deal with such bully women on the flights,” expressed the user. One more wrote, “If you think men in the West are any different, there are rude uncouth people everywhere, but everyone has to look down on whatever comes out of India, shrugs.”
