Ravi Kishan, one of the most versatile actors, is gearing up for his next film Laapataa Ladies. The trailer has been released and it has received an overwhelming response from the audience. He is essaying the role of the cop in the film. Well, recently in an interview with Lallantop Cinema, the actor talked about Salman Khan with whom he worked in Tere Naam. He called the actor moody and said that he would stay away from him.
Ravi Kishan was quoted saying that artists are “moody by nature” and when he senses that his co-actor is not in a great mood, he gives them space and that’s what he did with Salman Khan. “On the set of Tere Naam, I would give him space. That character (Radhe) was intense. That’s how Satish Kaushik ji (director) wanted it. Salman was probably lost in the character too. I would stay away from him on the set,” he shared.
Tere Naam was released in 2003 and was directed by Satish Kaushik. It remains one of the most powerful films in Salman Khan’s career. The film also stars Bhumika Chawla in the lead role.
In the same interview, Ravi Kishan further said, “We used to meet after pack up for dinner or something. Our friendship grew in this time. I am from Bandra, he is also from Bandra. His brother Sohail and I have been friends since childhood. He was aware of me but I was not a star then. And he was a superstar.”
Coming back to Laapataa Ladies, it is directed by Kiran Rao and produced by Aamir Khan and Jyoti Deshpande. The film stars Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastav along with Ravi Kishan is releasing on March 1st, 2024, and has been made under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions and Kindling Productions, with the script based on an award-winning story by Biplab Goswami. The screenplay and dialogue are written by Sneha Desai, while the additional dialogues have been jotted down by Divyanidhi Sharma.
