‘Inappropriate And Unsafe:’ Actress Urmila Nimbalkar On Facing An Unpleasant Incident
Urmila was walking through a Pune market with her husband Sukirt Gumaste and son for Deepawali shopping, when this incident happened.

Urmila Nimbalkar is one of the most sought-after actresses in the Marathi entertainment industry. She catapulted to fame with her acting prowess in various Marathi and Hindi television serials. She recently faced an unpleasant incident, when one of her fans tried to grab the hand of her 2-year-old son, Athang. Urmila was walking through a Pune market with her husband Sukirt Gumaste and child for Deepawali shopping, when this incident happened. She has described more about this incident in her Instagram story.

Urmila wrote, “This evening I, Sukirt and Athang were buying sky lanterns on the street when suddenly a lady came from behind and grabbed Athang from behind and pulled his cheeks hard. He got very scared and started crying. This is a very natural reaction in babies at this age. It also has the scientific name, Stranger Danger. It’s all right to feel love for Athang after seeing him in a video but dragging a 25-month-old baby against his will and taking pictures of him, dragging him close to you even when he’s crying, holding the baby with your unsanitary outer hand, turning his back and calling him names because he won’t let you touch him is inappropriate and unfathomably unsafe. ”

Urmila mentioned that she scolded the lady for this act.

As of now, Urmila has taken a step back from television and is concentrating on her Youtube career. Her popularity has not at all diminished. She has touched the milestone of 1.05 million subscribers on her YouTube channel. She has also become the first Marathi YouTuber to set up her own studio. Urmila’s fans are happy to see her succeed in the streaming space, but they miss her presence on the TV.

Recently, Urmila revealed the reason why she left television. In an interview with a portal, she said, “I used to shoot for 13 hours a day, at least 17 to 18 hours continuously in serials. I noticed that this happens with all serials.” She added, “This lifestyle started taking a toll on my health. Even if I fell ill, I would take pills and start working.” She further revealed that she was getting a lot of work, but she didn’t want to do it.”
