Akshay Kumar’s son, Aarav, is celebrating his 22nd birthday today. Despite being the child of a famous actor, Aarav keeps his life private and isn’t interested in pursuing a film career. Instead, he is focused on fashion design. Akshay mentioned at a 2022 Hindustan Times event that he tried to share his films with Aarav, but his son preferred to concentrate on his studies and fashion. Akshay also noted that to spark a child’s interest in a parent’s work, one can either keep it hidden or show it so much that they lose interest.
“I want to put him into all that, but he just doesn’t want to see anything, he just wants to do his work. He wants to study or do his fashion designing,” he said.
Last year, Akshay Kumar talked about how his kids, Nitara and Aarav, react to his films. He said that his daughter is too young to comment, but his son often tells him he’s “proud” of him. Akshay also shared that Aarav gives him very honest feedback on his movies. “Sorry but it’s bullsh*t Dad,” Aarav had said.
Akshay Kumar is married to Twinkle Khanna. They have two children: Aarav, born in 2002, and Nitara, born in 2012. Akshay’s upcoming film is Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty and set to release on Diwali 2024. The movie features Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, and Kareena Kapoor. He also announced a new project with Priyadarshan, a horror-comedy called Bhooth Bangla. The film, coming out in 2025, is produced by Ektaa Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms and Akshay’s Cape of Good Films. The motion poster shows Akshay with a black cat on his shoulder, sipping milk.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar is all set to make his Telugu debut with Vishnu Manchu’s next fantasy drama titled Kannappa. The film’s release date has not been announced till now.
