Three of Hollywood’s finest— Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Garner and Judy Greer reunited over a Zoom call to celebrate twenty years of their film 13 Going On 30. Directed by Gary Winick, the romantic comedy struck the right chords with the masses upon its release on April 23, 2004, becoming a commercially successful flick. Now, 2 decades later, the trio has once again reunited virtually to thank fans for loving the film back at that time and even today. A video of the cast’s friendly conversation was recently dropped by Jennifer Garner on Instagram, making the 90s kids feel nostalgic.
“Twenty years. We are three Boomers braving Zoom—because we want to thank you. To every person who has loved this movie along with us: Thank You. We see you, we appreciate you and we love you back. Forever thirty, flirty and thriving," read Jennifer Garner’s heartwarming caption. In the clip, Judy Greer comes straight to the point thanking movie buffs for watching the film and loving it too, making Mark Ruffalo and Garner burst into laughter. Reminiscing on how the world has changed over time with newer technological advancements they talk about having flip phones previously.
Mark Ruffalo, who essayed the role of Hulk in Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), classified film enthusiasts into two categories. “There are Hulk people and there’s 13 Going On 30 people, and I get equal amounts," he said, before adding that the fanbase of the latter was however “way more". Greer dropped in to share that back in the 2000s people received news from the “same place" to which an excited Ruffalo highlighted that it was a “newspaper". Geer continued that so much time has passed that she feels younger when she gets a “zit now".
After a fun-filled interaction, Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Garner and Judy Greer bid goodbye to fans adorably. “You’ve been the best fans of this movie that anyone could possibly have," said Ruffalo before the trio clicked a picture and signed off.
13 Going on 30 revolved around a 13-year-old girl in 1987, wishing to be “30, flirty and thriving" on her birthday. Her wish gets granted and she wakes up the following morning as a 30-year-old woman (Jennifer Garner). While Mark Ruffalo played her childhood friend turned lover, Judy Greer essayed the role of Garner’s BFF.
