Prasad Oak has entertained the audience with many Marathi films like Kalubaichya Naavan Changbhala, Jay Atharabhuja Saptashrungi Mata, Doghat Tisra Aata Sagala Visara, Rama Madhav, Balkadu, and others. He has worked in all three mediums, like theatre, TV serials and films. He has acted in more than 80 serials in his career so far. Apart from that, he has also worked on more than 15 stage plays and one-act plays. He has worked in more than 103 films and has also worked as a director in 5 films.
After working in the entertainment industry for so many years, he worked in very few films as a lead actor in his career. In the 95th film out of 103 films, he finally got an opportunity to play a leading role. The film was Dharmaveer, which was a biopic on the life of the late Shiv Sena leader Anand Dighe. It was directed by Pravin Tarde, and it became a huge hit in Marathi cinema. Prasad even won a Filmfare Award in the Best Actor category for the film.
In an interview, Prasad Oak once said that he has done many films in his career to run the house or for the satisfaction of his family. He added that his hard work had been going on for many years, as his dream was always to become a lead actor. He continued that even though people knew him and his work, it was after Dharmaveer that people started recognising him as a lead actor.
