Actor Vijay Thalapathy is known for his invaluable contributions to the Tamil film industry. He is currently busy filming for the movie GOAT, directed by Venkat Prabhu. Though there is no official information about his future project, many believe that his 69th appearance will be the end of his successful career to entire into politics. Many speculations are circulating about his last film and the director. Though Tamil director H Vinoth was earlier announced as the director of his 69th movie, recent reports suggest otherwise.

Several controversies sparked regarding the relationship between Vijay Thalapathy and his wife Sangeetha Sornalingam when Sangeetha was spotted alone attending the grand wedding of Aishwarya Shankar, the elder daughter of famous director S Shankar. Shankar’s daughter recently got married for the second time. Sangeetha was seen attending the celebrity wedding alone as Vijay was busy shooting for GOAT in Moscow.

Vijay earlier mentioned that he is set to retire from the film industry as he now wants to focus on his political career. The actor-turned-politician launched a political party named Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam earlier in February. He said that his party is set to contest the 2026 Tamil Nadu State Assembly elections. Today, as the first phase of the Lok-sabha elections in 2024 started, Vijay reportedly came back from Moscow to cast his vote. The superstar halted the shoot of his film and came back to India.
