Shefali Jariwala Says She ‘Doesn’t Mind’ Paps Zooming In On Her Back: ‘Worked Bloody Hard On My A**’

Bigg Boss 13 was one of the most popular seasons of the controversial reality show, featuring contestants such as Shefali Jariwala, Paras Chhabra, the late Siddharth Shukla, Shehnaaz Gill, Rashami Desai and Mahira Sharma, among others.

Recently, Paras Chhabra hosted a podcast with Bigg Boss 13 co-contestant Shefali Jariwala, during which Paras recalled an incident where Shefali and her husband Parag Tyagi were out and about and her earring fell on the ground. As she was about to pick it up, her husband intervened and did it himself, concerned about the paparazzi’s notorious tendency to take photos of women from behind. Many actresses have criticised and called out this behaviour and asked photographers not to shoot them from behind.

Shefali, however, had a different perspective. When Paras asked her about her take on paps focusing on women’s back, she said, “No, I don’t mind. I work bloody hard on my ass. Toh thora achhe dikhe – I don’t mind.”

Earlier, some of Bollywood’s popular celebrities, including Janhvi Kapoor and Arbaaz Khan, pushed back against the paparazzi constantly trailing them. A few months back, Janhvi warned a paparazzo for trying to photograph her from an inappropriate angle during a promotional event for her upcoming film Mr and Mrs Mahi. Wearing a red backless dress, the actress was caught on video, sternly telling the photographer, “Aap na galat galat angles mat liya kijiye please (Please don’t take photos from wrong angles).”

Singer Neha Bhasin had also called out the paps for taking her back shots. Neha has taken a jibe at the shutterbugs when they asked her to pose for a photo. “Lena toh aapne humesha peeche se hi hota hai (You always click from behind anyway),” a visibly unimpressed Neha had said in a clip.

Bigg Boss 17 contestant Ayesha Khan had also slammed the paparazzi for clicking inappropriate pictures of her. Ayesha had once posted a long note on Instagram stories, questioning the ‘obnoxious’ behaviour of certain photographers.
