In the most recent episode of the popular dance reality programme Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa season 11, Malaika Arora burst into tears as she remembered her impoverished childhood home and family. Reacting to one of the performances on the show, she said, “We used to live in a rented house. We didn’t have our own house. I mean, as far back as I can remember, we lived in a rented house. We often joke and say that we lived in a matchbox during our childhood,” she further recalled.
