The trailer of Saina, the biopic of former World No 1 badminton player Saina Nehwal is out now. Starring Parineeti Chopra, the trailer promises the exciting story of how a little girl from Haryana went on to become the World No. 1 badminton player.
The trailer also sees Parineeti imbibing Nehwal’s mannerisms to a T. It also features strong performances from Meghna Malik, who plays her mother Usha Rani Nehwal and Manav Kaul as the legendary badminton player and coach P Gopichand.

In a recent interview with IANS, Parineeti talked about playing Saina Nehwal. “It’s a huge responsibility to essay someone like Saina Nehwal on screen. She is a legend and I was very scared about how people will react," she said.
She added that she is overwhelmed by the love people have shown the film’s poster. “I’m overwhelmed with the love we are getting from all over the world. The film is a celebration of the unending spirit that lies in each woman," she said.
Saina is slated to hit screens on March 26.
