The 10-episode romantic drama Qubool Hai 2.0 is now streaming on ZEE5. The series shows a rejuvenated chemistry of Asad Ahmed Khan and Zoya Farukhi, with the original leads Karan Singh Grover and Surbhi Jyoti.
Along with the love story, the digital spin-off treats fans with mystery and some action sequences. We watched the first three episodes of the show, and here is what you can expect from it:
New story
While Asad Ahmed Khan is from India, Zoya Farukhi belongs to Pakistan. Zoya was about to get married to her childhood friend Salman, whereas Asad’s girlfriend leaves him for someone else. That is when, Asad and Zoya’s path cross and the two become fond of each other.

The characters are painted close to the original like Asad Ahmed Khan is a chauvinist and suffers from OCD. Zoya Farukhi is once again shown as a run-away bride. After nine years also, Asad and Zoya have managed to create magic with their chemistry one more time.

Zoya Faruki’s popular line ‘Allah miyan what’s wrong with you?’ from the original will add to the nostalgia. Not just this, Zoya also makes-up shayaris (funny ones only) at random.
Asad Ahmed Khan’s mother and sister
The series brings back Karan Singh Grover and Surbhi Jyoti as Asad Ahmed Khan and Zoya Farukhi. Along with the lead pair, two prime characters — Asad’s mother and sister, played by Shalini Kapoor and Nehalaxmi Iyer are also seen reprising their roles in the new version.
Bits from the original story
After Asad Ahmed Khan’s father’s second marriage, his mother raises him all by herself and Asad turns out to be a very successful man. However, the divorce element played no role in the story.
Apart from these, the series will also give you a snapshot of a number of beautiful locations in Serbia, especially the castles.
