Prabhas Starts Shooting For Vishnu Manchu-starrer Telugu Film Kannappa

Kannappa, the upcoming pan-Indian release starring Vishnu Manchu, is creating a lot of buzz among the fans and on social media. Taking the excitement a notch higher, it is being reported that rebel star Prabhas has joined the film’s shoot.

The Telugu film Kannappa is being dubbed as a fantasy drama, starring Vishnu Manchu in the titular role. The actor took to his official X handle (formerly Twitter) to announce Prabhas’s entry into the sets, with an exclusive poster. The poster shows two powerful feet, seemingly in motion on a rough road, amidst a tumultuous environment. Vishnu Manchu shared the image with the tweet, “My brother joined the shoot #Prabhas.”

Fans flood the comments section with messages of excitement. The first user wrote, “All the very best @iVishnuManchu and team, it looks great. Good vibes, poster looking fab.” While a second fan shared, “Something big is coming.” A third fan wrote, “Can’t wait to see him in this role.” The tweet has been liked more than 19,000 times while gaining more than 1.5 million likes.

Last year in November, the lead shared the film’s official first poster on his X handle. It depicts Vishnu as Kannappa, pointing his bow to the sky, surrounded by nature. It is shared with the tweet, “Step into the world of Kannappa where the journey of an atheist Warrior to becoming Lord Shiva’s ultimate devotee comes to life.”

The film is being helmed by Mukesh Kumar Singh while Vishnu Manchu is also the screenplay writer. The ensemble cast of the film includes names like Vishnu Manchu in the titular role, with Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, Mohanlal, Preity Mukhundhan, Brahmanandam and more. It is being produced by Mohan Babu under the banners of AVA Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory. The music will be handled by Stephen Devassy and Mani Sharma and Anthony is doing the editing while the cinematographer is Sheldon Chau. The film is reportedly being made under the budget of Rs 100 crore.
