Los Angeles: Hollywood stars were left shocked and surprised following one of the most bizarre mix-up during the best picture announcement at the 89th Academy Awards.
La La Land, which won six trophies including best director and actress, was incorrectly declared the best picture winner by Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway at the ceremony. However, during their victory speech, the musical's one of the producers, Jordan Horowitz, realised the mistake and announced that the award actually belonged to Moonlight.
After taking the trophy the director of the film Barry Jenkins tweeted, "Still Speechless". His post was accompanied by the card which read Moonlight as the winner of the best picture Academy Award.
