Directed by Sharan Sharma, ‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi’ is scheduled to release on 31st May 2024. The film marks Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor's second onscreen collaboration.

Ahead of the release of their movie ‘Mr. And Mrs. Mahi’, Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor performed Ganga arti at the Dashashwamedh Ghat in Varanasi on Monday evening. Rajkummar held Janhvi close as they sought blessings for their film.

Janhvi looked stunning in a pastel blue and silver saree. She styled her hair in a bun with white gajra. Rajkummar, on the other hand, kept it comfy in linen shirt and beige pants.

Recently, at the launch of ‘Dekha Tenu’ song from ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’, Janhvi Kapoor shared the qualities she would want in her partner. For the unversed, Janhvi has been dating Shikhar Pahariya for about two years.

“I want someone jo mere sapno ko apna samjhe, mujhe himmat de, badhava de, mujhe Khushi de. Aur jab main roti hoon tab bhi mera saath de aisa koi insaan chahiye mujhe (I want someone who would consider my dreams as his, motivate me, share happiness. Someone who would stand by me even during my lows),” Janhvi told media.

Soon after her reply, someone from the audience quipped, “all the best.” The ‘Dhadak’ actor asked if it’s difficult to find someone like that, to which a few reporters in the audience said, “mil gaya hai aapko (You found the one).” Upon hearing this, the actor started blushing hard.

Directed by Sharan Sharma and produced by Zee Studios and Dharma Productions, ‘Mr. & Mrs. Mahi’ is scheduled to release on 31st May 2024. In the film, Janhvi plays the role of a budding cricketer. The makers also dropped a behind-the-scenes clip showcasing Janhvi’s intense journey to look the character.

The behind-the-scenes clip of Janhvi’s transformation as Mahi includes bytes from the director, Sharan Sharman, the coaches and the actress herself. The director mentions that Janhvi was initially prepared, assuming the training would be similar to what she had done for Gunjan. But once the training started, she realised it was nothing like that. During the training, the actress broke ligaments on both her shoulders. The director stated that they had discovered that Janhvi has something called MDI or multidirectional instability, which is good for dancers but not so much for cricketers. But she eventually recovered and finished her training. In the BTS, Janhvi also calls her the most “unathletic” person who had no knowledge about the sport.
