Releasing in cinema halls this week is John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi starrer Mumbai Saga. The lead cast of the movie are gearing up for the promotion of the gangster drama that will hit the silver screen on March 19, 2021.
Directed by Sanjay Gupta, Mumbai Saga is a film about a Bombay gangster, played by John, and a cop who wants to stop him, played by Emraan. Taking to Instagram, John shared a picture in which he is seen standing opposite Emraan as they both pose, indulging in arm wrestling. The promo post asked viewers if they are with John’s Gang orEmraan’ Force in the upcoming Mumbai Saga movie. The caption of the post read that the battle lines have been drawn. It further asked that in the Saga of #JohnKaGang versus #EmraanKiForce, whose side are fans on.
The 48-year-old actor and producer further urged his fans and movie buffs to book the tickets for Mumbai Saga that will be releasing this week.

Set in the late ’80s and early ’90s,when Mumbai was called Bombay, the movie also stars Jackie Shroff, Suneil Shetty, Prateik Babbar, Gulshan Grover, Rohit Roy, Sameer Soni, Mahesh Manjerekar, Kajal Agarwaland Amole Gupte in pivotal roles.

The trailer of the film shows how John’s character Amartya Rao rises and tries to fight the corrupt system by becoming a Robin Hood-esque kind of gangster that attacks the rich to protect the poor. In the trailer, Amartya is also seen murdering Sameer’s, character who is a rich industrialist. That is when he comes under the cops’ spotlight. A bounty of Rs 10 crore is announced on whoever brings Amartya under arrest. Emraan’s character Inspector Ambar Khan believes that he can get Amartya arrested and the chase begins between the two lead actors.
Mumbai Saga will clash in the theatres with Dibakar Banerjee’s Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar. The film starts Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra in the lead roles and has been distributed by Yash Raj Films.
