Model Himanshi Khurana has dropped a stunning video on Instagram where she is lip-syncing to the song of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Wearing ethnic earrings along with a passa, Himanshi recreated Aishwarya’s move from the song Salaam where she lifts one eyebrow after another and also offers aadab, a hand gesture for greeting. The model was donning a brown coloured embroidered dress and wearing red lipstick. In her post, Himani said that her suit and jewellery were from the collection of Aliwar by fashion brand Jharokha Designs.
Reacting to Himanshi’s video, actor Arrti Singh posted a heart eyes emoji. Himanshi replied by saying that she and Arrti should dance together sometime. Arrti and Himanshi were co-contestants on the reality TV show Bigg Boss 13.
While one fan of Himanshi praised her expressions, another said that the model is looking beautiful in the video. Several fans posted heart, fire and other emojis in the comments section in appreciation of the short clip.
Aishwarya’s hit song was from her 2006 movie Umrao Jaan which was based on the novel Umrao Jaan Ada. Previously, Rekha starrer 1981 film Umrao Jaan was made inspired by the novel. Although its box-office performance was mediocre, critics praised Rekha’s acting.
The song Salaam was voiced by Alka Yagnik, music was given by Anu Malik and the memorable lyrics were written by Javed Akhtar.
Himanshi is also a talented singer herself and many of her Punjabi songs have been a hit. She recently released her latest number Surma Bole which has been written and composed by Bunty Bains. The model-singer also featured in the video of the song.
Himanshi has been in a relationship with her BB13 co-contestant Asim Riaz for over a year now. The two have appeared together in a number of music videos including Khyaal Rakhya Kar.
