Siddhant Chaturvedi revealed he witnessed a transition in approach towards Triptii Dimri after the release of Animal. The Gully Boy star is working with Triptii in Dhadak 2. The actors were filming for the movie in Bhopal when Animal released and they watched the film together. In a recent interview, Siddhant revealed before the film, Triptii did not get enough attention. However, after the film’s release, the crew paid extra attention toward her.
“We were shooting in December and Animal happened (at the time). We went to watch the first day, last show. I had seen the songs and everything. She also spoke about her experience. So when the film released, we were shooting in Bhopal and we went to watch the film. We watched it with her. The way the response towards her changed after Animal’s release (was noteworthy),” Siddhant said in an interview with Siddharth Kannan.
“Earlier, everyday she would ask for tea, no one batted an eye. Cut to, post release, they would ask her which tea she wants — masala tea, green tea, etc, etc. I used to tease her a lot after it. But I am really glad that happened for her,” he added.
Triptii won the tag of ‘national crush’ after the release of Animal. Siddhant was asked if he too had a crush on her while filming Dhadak 2, he said no. “She’s sweet and amazing but main jahaan kaam karta hoon, main wahaan dil nahi lagata. Main kaam mein dil lagata hoon,” he said.
Dhadak 2 was confirmed in May this year. The film is a sequel to Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter’s Dhadak, which was a remake of the hit Marathi film Sairat. Sharing the news of Dhadak 2, Karan Johar wrote on Instagram, “यह कहानी है थोड़ी अलग क्यूंकि एक था राजा, एक थी रानी – जात अलग थी…ख़तम कहानी, Presenting Dhadak 2 starring Siddhant Chaturvedi & Triptii Dimri.
