Darshan's Presence Confirmed Near Crime Scene; Shatrughan Reacts to Sonakshi Sinha's Wedding Rumours

Hours after Kannada star Darshan Thoogudeepa was arrested in connection to the Renuka Swamy murder case, a video has surfaced online which is likely to mount trouble for the actor. On Tuesday afternoon, Karnataka police released a video in which Darshan’s car was allegedly seen near the place where Renuka’s dead body was disposed of. The CCTV video is from the wee hours of June 9, 2024.

Actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha broke his silence on Sonakshi Sinha’s wedding rumours. On Monday, it was reported that the actress is all set to marry her rumoured boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal on June 23 in a ceremony in Mumbai. Although Sonakshi and Zaheer are yet to address the claims, Shatrughan said Sonakshi hasn’t told him anything. He added that kids these days do not ask for permission to marry. Instead, they just inform parents of their decision.

Kannada actress Pavithra Gowda has been arrested by the Bengaluru police in connection to the Renuka Swamy murder case. This comes hours after the police officials also detained Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa in Mysore in connection to the same case. Renuka Swamy was found dead at Sumanahalli Bridge in Bengaluru on June 8, 2024. He used to reportedly work at an Apollo Pharmacy branch in Chitradurga. According to police officials, Renuka used to send vulgar messages to Pavithra Gowad, a friend of Darshan.

Bollywood actor Jitendra Kumar finally addressed the claims that he was the highest earning star of Panchayat 3. The series released late last month and Jitendra, aka Jeetu Bhaiya, allegedly drew a salary of Rs 70,000 per episode. In a new interview, Jitendra slammed these reports and said it was unfair to discuss someone’s pay. “Well, I think discussing somebody’s salary and financial matters is really unfair,” he told Hindustan Times.
