Bollywood’s three Khans—Shah Rukh, Salman, and Aamir—are well-known stars. However, there are several other Khans who did not achieve the same level of fame. Here’s a look at eight lesser-known Khans who have distanced themselves from acting.
Faisal Khan is Aamir Khan’s brother. He is remembered for his role in Mela. After the film’s failure, Faisal faced difficulties in finding good roles. He mentioned in an interview that after Mela, he stopped getting quality offers and decided to step away from acting.
Sarfaraz Khan, son of the late actor Kader Khan, appeared in about 11 films. Despite his role as Salman Khan’s best friend in Tere Naam, he struggled to find substantial roles afterwards. His last film was Ramaiya Vastavaiya in 2013.
Fardeen Khan, son of the late Firoz Khan, was once a prominent actor. He could not maintain his stardom for long. Fardeen cited his father’s death as a major reason for leaving the industry. He returned to the screen this year with a role in the drama series Heeramandi.
Shadab Khan, the son of veteran actor Amjad Khan, made his debut in Raja Ki Ayegi Baarat. Despite his efforts, he went unnoticed in films. After a cameo in Refugee, he chose to focus on writing instead of acting.
Zayed Khan, son of actor Sanjay Khan, also stepped away from acting. He admitted that he did not take his career seriously and ignored advice to focus on single-hero projects.
Shehzad Khan, son of popular actor Ajit Khan, struggled to make a mark in acting. He revealed that his father did not assist him much in his early career.
Imran Khan, Aamir Khan’s nephew, was last seen in Katti Batti. He felt that the industry focuses too much on box office success and monetary aspects, which did not suit him.
Ayub Khan, nephew of the late Dilip Kumar, appeared in many films but felt he did not fit the typical hero image. He found it difficult to embody the flashy persona popular during his time.
These actors had their moments in the spotlight but chose different paths away from Bollywood.
