Varun Dhawan’s highly anticipated Baby John has hit a snag as its release date has been rescheduled. The actor took to social media to announce the new premiere date, which now coincides with the speculated release of Aamir Khan’s comeback film ‘Sitaare Zameen Par.’ The latter is touted to be a Christmas release for this year.
Taking to his social media handle, Varun Dhawan shared, “Christmas this year just got merrier. Brace yourselves for Baby John releasing on December 25th ,”and also unveiled a new poster from the film.

The movie is pushed to a later date given the heavy reliance on visual effects and action sequences. The team requires additional time to perfect every detail, ensuring that ‘Baby John’ meets the high expectations of the audiences. Christmas release makes it a perfect time for this out and out massy entertainer.
The film marks the Hindi film debut of Keerthy Suresh and also features Wamiqa Gabbi, who is making her silver screen debut. The electrifying starcast also includes Jackie Shroff and Rajpal Yadav in the action entertainer. ‘Baby John’ is an S Thaman musical.
Jio Studios Presents, ‘Baby John’ in association with Atlee and Cine1 Studios. A for Apple Studios and Cine1 Studios Production, the film is produced by Murad Khetani, Priya Atlee and Jyoti Deshpande. Directed by Kalees, ‘Baby John’ is set to theatrically release on 25th December 2024.
Coming back to Sitaare Zameen Par, Aamir has allotted 70 to 80 working days on the film. With a lot of time invested in pre-production, this would be among the fastest films that Aamir would deliver to the audience. The film also stars Genelia Deshmukh in the lead. This marks Genelia and Aamir’s first film together.
