In a fresh update, Ananya Panday is all set to make a cameo appearance in the highly anticipated comedy film Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri starrer Bad Newz. The news has raised the excitement level among the fans. Mid-Day has mentioned what role Ananya will be playing in the film.
Mid-Day report says Ananya Panday will be playing a popular film star in Bad Newz and her track will be related to Triptii Dimri who will be seen as a chef. The report adds that some of Ananya’s scenes in the film were shot last month at a Juhu five-star hotel. One of the sequences that has been shot will see Ananya’s character arriving at the hotel followed by paparazzi and fans. Apart from this, she has shot one more scene with Triptii. The rest of the shoot is set to take place on May 13, 2024, and this will mark the wrap-up of Ananya’s part.
In March, filmmaker Karan Johar who is backing the film with his production house, made an official announcement for the film’s title and shared a bundle of posters. The film titled Bad Newz is all set to hit the theatres this July. Sharing the announcement on his Instagram handle, Karan wrote, “Get ready for the most entertaining hungama – a hilarious once in a billion situation awaits…a comedy inspired by true events!! #BadNewz IN CINEMAS 19th July 2024!”
Last year, several photos of Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri went viral when they were shooting in Croatia. In the pictures, Vicky Kaushal was seen holding Triptii close as they shoot for the song. In one of the photos, the actor was also seen lifting the Animal star in his arms. The upcoming entertainer is being helmed by Bandish Bandits fame director Anand Tiwari.
Meanwhile on the work front, Triptii Dimri is currently enjoying the success of Animal. Released in December 2023, the film also starred Ranbir Kapoor in the lead. Triptii’s chemistry with Ranbir in the movie was widely loved by all. Apart from Bad Newz, she will also be seen in Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
Vicky Kaushal on the other hand was last seen in Sam Bahadur. Apart from Bad Newz, he will also be seen in Chhava. The film is reported to be a period drama, where Kaushal will share the screen with Rashmika Mandanna. The film is expected to delve into Sambhaji Maharaj’s bravery, sacrifice, and wartime strategies while incorporating an emotional love story between him and his wife.
