In Ayodhya for Ram Lalla’s Darshan, to Seek Blessings: Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Aditya Thackeray
“It is a matter of faith that brings me here. There is no politics,” Aaditya Thackeray said on reaching the Uttar Pradesh capital city

Maharashtra cabinet minister Aaditya Thackeray reached Ayodhya on Wednesday to offer prayers at the Ram Temple. On his first visit to Ayodhya, Thackeray will offer prayers at the Ram Temple, visit Janambhoomi site and participate in an ‘aarti’ at the banks of Saryu river. On his day-long visit, he will also hold a meeting with party functionaries and interact with the media.

Thackeray arrived in Lucknow at around 11 am from where he reached Ayodhya by road. According to party officials, over 1,000 Shiv Sainiks have already reached the temple town for Aaditya’s visit. “I am here to seek blessings of Lord Ram,” said Aaditya Thackeray as he landed in Lucknow.

Thackeray will offer prayers at Hanumangarhi, Ram Lalla in the evening and will also attend Saryu aarti before returning to Lucknow from where he will fly back to Mumbai.

Speaking to the media at the Lucknow airport, he said, “We have been coming to Ayodhya and Lord Ram is in our hearts. Even in 2018, when I came for the first time, we had said ‘Pehle Mandir Fir Sarkar’. Now after the order of the court, the construction of Ram Temple has finally started. I am here to pray.”

On the question of protest by a group of seers in Ayodhya, Thackeray said, “I won’t get into any allegation or counter allegation. This is a holy place and politics should be kept away from it. This is the land of Ram Rajya and the faith of crores of Indians is connected to Ayodhya. We are ardent followers of Lord Ram and today I am here only for darshan. We pray that we perform only good deeds.”

The Minister will be travelling to Ayodhya from Lucknow by road. He has reached the ISKCON temple where he will perform a puja. He is expected to hold a press conference in Ayodhya around 3.30pm.

He will then be visiting Hanumangarhi, after which he will take the darshan of Ram Lalla. At 6.30pm, he will attend the Saryu aarti before returning to Lucknow around 7:30pm.

The Ayodhya district administration has finalised all preparations for Thackeray’s visit. Around 1,051 lamps will be lit for Saryu aarti which will be formed from 5 Bedis.

Shiv Sainiks have been busy decorating Saryu Ghat for the aarti.

He will do abhishek of Ma Saryu with 1.5 tonnes of milk. The aarti by Thackeray is expected to last for 30 minutes.
