While passenger numbers from domestic flights were up 3.3%, Heathrow is above all a hub for European flights, with 32.48 million passengers arriving at or leaving from the airport (+2.4%). North America is the second largest market for the London airport, with 17.35 million passengers.
In 2017, London Heathrow Airport was named Best Airport in Western Europe by Skytrax for the third consecutive year.
