BHUBANESWAR: The Xavier Institute of Management (XIM), Bhubaneswar, is all set to welcome foreign students who have enrolled into the 3-Continent Master of Global Management (3C MGM) Programme. They will commence their study later this month in their second term. The first batch of the one-year 3C MGM Programme commenced in September last year at the Antwerp Management School, Belgium. The programme took shape in 2010 as part of an innovative alliance between three internationally renowned Business Schools - XIM Bhubaneswar, Antwerp Management School and the Fordham Graduate School of Business, New York. It has been positioned as a programme that will develop students into ‘borderless managers’ who will combine global exposure with local perspectives. Dual degrees from the Antwerp Management School and the Fordham Graduate School of Business will be awarded to the students, enabling them to work anywhere in the world. During the one-year programme, the students live and study in three different continents for a duration of four months each. Besides, the diverse global exposure, they receive will be a thorough grinding in local business models and practices, as well as personalised inputs for their individual development. The 3C MGM provides a wide range of insights into international business. In Antwerp, the students are given to understand how to manage diversity in a multi-cultural society, while in India, social entrepreneurship and innovation to operate at the bottom of the pyramid and achieve sustainable growth in emerging markets will be the thrust. In New York, they are exposed to a diverse financial spectra as well as a perspective on global media. “We are looking forward to welcoming these bright young students from the international community to our campus for a uniquely designed, multi-cultural and interactive curriculum,” Director of XIMB Father PT Joseph said. The next batch of the 3C MGM Programme will commence in September 2012.
